Black History Month 2016

Black History Month takes place each October to recognise and celebrate the contribution made to society over many years by people of African and Caribbean heritage.

In singing worship we are looking at the major contribution and huge influence black performers have made to the development of popular music - beginning with blues musician Robert Johnson and ending with JayZ.

We have also been listening to contemporary African music and singing songs either from Africa or by significant black musicians, eg Bob Marley. See for more information about Black History Month.
