Welcome to our school web-site! I hope you find it interesting and informative. We aim to update the site regularly with our newsletters, information about each class, latest events, activities and news. We also hope that visitors will leave a message in our guestbook. We would love to hear from any past pupils who attended the school – were you a child whose name appeared in the old school log books or have you become a famous celebrity?!
Smannell and Enham Church of England Primary School is a very special place. There is a fantastic team of staff, supportive parents, hard-working Governors – and, of course, WONDERFUL CHILDREN!
There is a special family atmosphere which underlies everything about our School – our relationships, ethos and code of conduct. As a Church School everybody is valued as a unique creation. Christian values underpin everything we do and how we live our lives. We encourage everybody to be respectful – of themselves, each other and property – and to be responsible for every action. This is our behaviour motto!
Our school was inspected by Ofsted in October 2008. As we are a Church school this was followed in December by a Section 48 or SIAS inspection(statutory inspection of Anglican schools.) We were pleased that the reports identified many strengths and positive features of our work and school, but equally that the areas for development were fair and reflected our self-evaluation. A summary of our Ofsted report is included at the bottom of this section of the web-site. The SIAS report will be added when it is finally published.
The school has recently undergone a substantial refurbishment of the old Victorian building. The addition of three new classrooms and a learning support room has also had a major impact on the School. More information about the history of the school, our buildings, grounds and facilities, the curriculum we offer and a whole host of other useful things can be found in the school prospectus. |
