Woodpeckers (Yr 1 & 2)

Welcome to Woodpeckers' Class

Miss Montador is our class teacher.

Our LSA support team is Miss Hart and Miss Ware.

P.E. is taught on a Tuesday and Thursday. We kindly ask that long hair is tied back and earrings are removed or taped on these days.

Little Wandle Phonics The resources on this page will help you support your child with saying their sounds and writing their letters. There are also some useful videos so you can see how they are taught at school and feel confident about supporting their reading at home.

Tricky words practice! The children really enjoy these Tricky words songs before we start our Phonics learning. It is also a useful resource to practice letter names! We are currently learning phase 3 and 4 tricky words.

Math games Math games offers online games to make maths learning fun! Kids learn better when they're having fun. They also learn better when they get to practice new skills repeatedly. Math Games lets them do both - in school or at home.

Topmarks The children have really enjoyed using Topmarks as part of our Maths learning. Topmarks gives children the opportunity to learn online, through safe, fun and engaging games and activities. Plus its FREE to use!

Cosmic kids Super Yoga! In Woodpeckers, we have frequent movement breaks throughout the day which all the children love! It is an opportunity to get our bodies moving and have fun! These videos linked to the address are only around 5 mins each!
